AUTOMOTIVE > Campus Vehicles

CSUSB will maintain a reduced fleet consisting of two(2) 15-passenger buses during the 2002/2003 fiscal year.  These vehicles will be maintained within the fleet until they have accumulated approximately 80,000 miles for sedans and 70,000 miles for both vans and buses.  Please review the Inventory & Rates for actual inventory information and the existing rental rates for these vehicles.

Campus  Admission and Student Recruitment will receive priority status for vehicle rentals that support campus recruiting efforts, based on the recommendation of the university senior administrators.  Should no university-owned vehicles be available for other departments, they will be encouraged to either utilize vehicles provided to the Facilities Services by Enterprise or pursue the possibility of travel reimbursement for staff utilizing their personal vehicle for university business.

It is anticipated that the fleet of university-owned vehicles will be further reduced due to the accumulation of mileage and normal wear-and-tear.  Please consult the Inventory & Rates page for anticipated retirement dates.  University-owned vehicles will not be replaced once they have been removed from service and surveyed.  All fleet vehicle rentals will eventually be contracted-out as vehicles are removed from service.
